Harvest Party at Our House

Just finished picking up the house after our yearly harvest party. This is our second year we've held it. I hope we keep this tradition going for a long time!!!!!!!!!!!

Fall snacks!

And our all time favorite, traditional game of Skip-bo

Playing the game family. (Another party tradition)

Joseph got a very hot fire going tonight in our stove which pleased the king of our castle a lot. And to top it all off there was a nice box of news paper and cardboard next to it making for one comfortable evening!

It was so nice to have a fun evening with our church family. We feel so blessed to have each and every one of you in our life.

Weekend Camping Trip

Last weekend we went camping on Ocracoke island.  Its been a wile since I've gone camping. We all had a blast! it was a first for camping on the beach. On friday it looked like it would be rainy all weekend but the Lord blessed and we had a fabulous sundown worship around a campfire on the beach. And the sunset was so beautiful!

Here is the sand castle that Lacey, Emily and I built. We each built a tower and then worked together on making the mote and bridges. The tower to the left in the picture below was built by me. The center tower was built by Lacey, and the tower to the right was constructed by Emily.

The back view.

What was left the next day after the morning tide went out.

We're trying to make Jack into a beach dog, but he's not convinced yet.

Our classy toes!

My dear old dog!

Em's bug eyes.

I promise this was only for the picture. I have a "tad" more fashion since then to ware two different shoes out in public.

And so my friends that was all the fun in a nut shell.

Now I ask that you all please pray for my Grandpa Lyle. the Doctors found a lump on his lungs this morning and are quite sure it is cancer. His fiancĂ© is also not feeling well and is getting some testing down to see what is wrong. So we ask that you keep them both in your prayers.
