One Year Ago...

This past year has taken me and most of my family more places then it has for a long time. We are so grateful to our Heavenly Father for all His loving care.

My God bless each and everyone of us in our many travels over the next year. For us I just really hope it don't mean moving a third year in a row!

Pills and Needles.

Pills ~

Pill bottles are beginning to stack up around here. I have two that I will hopefully be done with soon, and Jacky just had to go back to the vet so he's on a pill now too. My life is way to busy to stop and take pills and give some to Jacky. I can't wait 'till these things are gone.

Needles ~

Several people have commented to me lately that they can't imagine loving watching being poked with needles in the mouth. I'll admit that when I was about six or seven when I had some
cavities filled seeing that needle come towards my mouth was scary. But when it happened it didn't hurt at all. So this time when the dentist was preparing to give me a shot I didn't panic. I did wonder if he would be as good as my other dentist, but no fear he was great. Now if we're talking about anywhere els on my body forget it. Daddy will tell you that taking a sliver out of my hand takes a lot with me. But when it is in my mouth its fine. Its one of those unexplainable things about me.

Well I need to run so I can answer some questions for a article Lacey is writing about us girls. Look for it in the next issue of DBD.

The Tribe at the Dentist

When the Brinley's do something they do it in bulk quantity. Since there is so many of us it's cheeper and easier that way. But dental work is one of those things that was excluded from our general policy. That is until yesterday when we all went to have our teeth cleaned and checked. It was quiet the experience.

Most of us haven't been to the dentist in many years. I haven't been there in about 13 years. And that was to have two baby teeth filled. As for yesterday I was expecting to just have my teeth cleaned, but more was in store for me. I had all four wisdom teeth pulled, and one small filling done. It was so fascinating to see all that was going on. Every since I was a small fry I've been highly interested in dentistry. Some of this might gross a few of you out, but I loved watching all the stuff going in and out of my mouth. It was neat trying to see how much blood was on Uncle Jeff's gloves and see the rest of the blood going up the suction tub. I've alway been extremely grossed out by even my own blood in cuts and scraps, but its never fazed me in the mouth on me or anyone els. I can't explain why.

As for the rest of my tribe, Emily and Dad just had their teeth cleaned. Lacey didn't have to have anything done since it was recently done when she had her braces on. Mom also had one wisdom tooth removed. And Ashley had such good teeth that she didn't have to have them cleaned. But mother and her are going back in a few weeks to have a cleaning for mother and all four wisdom teeth removed for Ashley. This will be done the day before we leave for ASI. So that will make things a little more interesting.

So that was our most resent episode. Right now I'm rather sore and bruised in the mouth, but I'm surviving. I had that I can't chew anything! Hopefully all this will pass quickly.

Happy 4th Of July

Our family has always loved celebrating this holiday. No matter where we been we've found a way to make it a special day to spend together. Last year at this time we were getting ready to move here, and up to our ears in strawberries. This year we are getting ready to move to North Carolina and way above our ears with packing crafts. One year can take you so many different places. I can't wait to see what will be deep into next year.

The Poor Cat!

Our dear kitty has been enjoying the beautiful weather we've been having of late in the pet run between the garage and the house. Our once spotless cat is now a dirty animal. Along with the dirt cameos the pitch from the pine trees near the house. The pitch get so firmly implanted in his fur that it has to be cut out. That means he looses some hair in the deal.

I feel great sympathy for him. He seems to be so embarassed over his looks right about now.
