Easter Sunday...

This past week we have been enjoying the company of our grandparents and Uncle from Oklahoma. Yesterday after our grand easter dinner we went over to the Moore's house on the river and spent the afternoon ridding in Grandpa Moore's old Model A, and out on the river in the boat. I think all had an enjoyable time.

The guys took the first trip out.

Grandma did ride in the car a short ways, but I think she liked these flowers better!

And this was the last group to go. I think the driver was very proud to have three girls with him. (particularly the one in the front seat!)

Today the tribe is out over to the outer banks today. Emily and I stayed here to do work and school, and to put some hours in for our lessons tomorrow. Needless to say we haven't had much time to practice. And I've discovered that you can't just get by with piano the way you can with violin. At lest I can't!

And he is...

The most wonderful son, The sweetest husband, The. Kindest father, And the humblest leader, He's the greatest teacher, Has the coolest ideas, Is the best listener, And is the sympathetic man I know, He is the all in all the greatest guy. And guess what he's my Dad! Yesterday was his birthday. I won't post his age on here. You'll have to figure out that one on your own. But I will say he has the youngest heart. And he is the world's greatest Dad. Happy Birthday Dad!

Spring!

Spring is such a lovely time of year. Every time it comes around it gives me a thousand more thrills then the year before. Right now it is 82 and sunny, the windows are open, and the sound of birds singing and little bugs at work fill the air. All make me feel so happy and relaxed even though my life has been everything but that the past few weeks.

Our yard is full of flowering bushes. Everything is at it peek right now.

Finely our mail box fits in with our "maple street neighbors".

And the flower boxes are finely full of  flowers.

For mom's birthday we each choose a project to complete. I choose this rocker because I thought it was simple enough to handle my limited refurbishing abilities. Well I don't think I'll be repainting a rocking chair anytime soon. It was good project for me, but I think I like the idea of spray painting spindles instead of brushing them! I'm thankful it turned out OK.
