Thanks So Much!

Our hearts are warmed to over flowing at God's goodness through the kind hearts of our community. All have offered their help in big ways and small. But all have come straight from the heart. We don't know all of their names yet so some them are still under the Brinley form of naming neighbors (which is to call them by occupation, their house style or color, or pet).

The neighbor that lives to the left of us is an older name and his wife. The man came over right after the hurricane hit and helped to pull the tree of our roof with his tractor. We we're so touched by his effort being that he is in his seventies and had way more trees done in his yard then us. But he took the time to help us anyway.

Last evening a couple of guys from the fire dept. were out picking up limes and stopes over to see if we needed any water. Soon they were back with two cases of bottled water and hot food made up. But that was not the end. Later on that evening they again returned with a generator, a can of gas for it, and more food.

We're still learning how to understand the southern ways of our neighbors and church family, but one thing that's hit home is the way they make helping other such a part of their lives. If we as Christians would take that small southern act and make it a mark of Christians what a place this world could be. It is my desire to make that a bigger part of my life. What about you?
