God as been so good to us. Hurricane Irene hit us with all hurricane power, but the Lord kept his protecting hand over us. As many of you already know a large tree fell on the corner of our roof. It did some damage to the roof along with pulling the power box of the side of our house. Our yard was also a big mess. We have our phone back on now which is a help. But because we aren't the only ones that lost power boxes and lines we are expecting a minimum of another two weeks before we get power.
The bright side of this is that we are inventing a lot of new recipes and hair styles. Because we have a gas stove we can light the burners and use the stove top. So all food is now cook in a pan or skillet on the stove top. Everything so far has been good. It's amazing what can be cooked in a frying pan!
As for the hair...well...there has been better sights around here before. Some of the supper creative ones have been coming up with some supper dos.
Well I intend to post some picture I got of the flooding around our house as soon as I have a way to do so. Right now we are at the Library here in Washington charging up computers and iPads and using the internet. It's a little bit inconvenient, but that's what helps to make the people we are.
